Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad’s New Tygart Flyer passenger train heads south on the former Western Maryland Railway main shortly after departing the Elkins, WV station. This train is en route to Cheat Bridge, where the power will run around the consist for the trip back to Elkins. Today’s train is powered by a pair of EMD FP7s, Nos. 67 and 243. Although both engines are painted in the Western Maryland’s striking black and gold scheme, neither are former WM units. No. 67 was previously CSX No. 118, and previous to that was Clinchfield Railroad No. 200. The 243 is ex-Canadian Pacific No. 4071.
